Nou, als ik een VPN wil gebruiken voor extra veiligheid, dan doe ik dat dus. En dat ga ik dus niet uitzetten voor Hetzner.

Inmiddels #Icedrive aangeslingerd en de sync loopt inmiddels. Dus, overstap gelukt. Stack van TransIP kan opgezegd worden, die loopt tot 4 september, en de sync zal dan wel klaar zijn :)

My Dropbox subscription was due for renewal. I decided to switch to something that suits my needs & is cheaper. Was looking at pCloud & Icedrive. I've gone with Icedrive. I know there are more features with pCloud, but the UI & it's UK based has won me over!

Also I previously owned the domain icedrive.net & sold to the guys in 2018. So I'm a little biased I guess lol

Since it was also slow on the free plan and they have only 3.3 stars on the Google Play, which I didn't check before trying, I went for #Icedrive.

I paid the most convenient plan and started using it, but it just doesn't even try to upload your image gallery, only new images. Support team confirmed that. So I utilized their moneyback offering.

@whatzaname if you don't have a usb-stick to store the data one, use online storage like #MEGA #Dropbox #Icedrive and then install the #Linux of your choice.
If you have a big enough hard drive (hdd/ssd) on the laptop, you could make a dual install, this would leave you the ms-windows beside the Linux and then you can move over the files after the installation (I do suggest you make a backup of the data, in case you make the wrong choice and wipe the whole hard drive).

Di alternative a Google Drive ce ne sono davvero tante. La maggior parte di loro è criptata end-to-end, a differenza del Drive di Google!
