The development of the #Bromite browser for #Android seems to have stopped because they haven't pushed an update since version 108 from December 2022. I advise everyone to switch to something else like #Iceraven, #Vanadium or #UngoogledChromium.

After testing #Vivaldi for a while, I'm now going to try #Iceraven on #Android and #Librewolf on #Linux.

@f4grx @rats I am guessing it is because there is a history of people installing hundreds of random extensions and blame #Firefox for being slow or not working properly so they seem to be taking a cautious approach by allowing installation of only a few extensions they can monitor.

@rats Oh thats nice! I had no idea. But I've been using #IceRaven which is a fork of #Firefox Mobile which allows installing all extensions out of the box. I was using Consent-O-Matic on that and it is working great so far! 😀

Fürs Smartphone könnte man sich den Browser #IceRaven installieren und dann Greasemonkey unter "Add-ons" hinzufügen.

Das UserScript habe ich erstellt, weil fyyd.de eine unnötig hohe CPU-Last beim Abspielen des Podcasts erzeugt.

Bin ganz schön happy, dass ich heute über den #ffupdater aus F-Droid den Firefox-Fork #iceraven für's Smartphone entdeckt habe. Auf den ersten Blick kein großer Unterschied zum Fennec davor, aaaaber Unmengen an (teilweise bislang vermissten) Ads-Ons, die ohne Workaround funktionieren.

Für mich ein Fortschritt. :-)

I have lost my installed add-ons, along with their customized settings and filters multiple times when using #Iceraven (Firefox Android fork)

Friendship ended with #IceRaven browser. Now #Mull browser is my best friend.

But not many add-ons are supported as iceraven. It is a further debloated and hardened(with arkenfox user.js and Tor up-lift) fenix browser.

It is developed by Divested Computing Group. Does anyone know about them?
