Submissions are now open for #VICFA, the Virtual International Conference for the Fantastic in the Arts.
I've attended the regular conference, #ICFA, four times, and last year I presented at the first VICFA, which tries to schedule sessions across a wide range of times so people all over the world can attend. It's definitely worth it, whether you're a creative writer or a scholar. Nigerian author Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki is helming the conference.

Scrolling through FB, seeing famous and very old science-fiction writer often in frail health caught Covid at ICFA (International Conference for the Fantastic in the Arts--one of my favorite conferences to attend) recently, and on other attendees' pages I see photo after photo of unmasked faces, and one SF academic/writer who used to be very big on masking now saying "I don't worry about catching Covid anymore."
