Finally migrated from 1Password to iCloud Keychain and I’ll can already see the benefits. Password and 2FA auto-filling is so much less clunkier. Don’t get me wrong I used to love 1Password, but recent successive releases have become increasingly unreliable, particularly the browser extensions. If you’ve been on the fence about switching I can confirm all is good.

Rather than keep my #1Password password perpetually in my clipboard I might just switch to #iCloudKeychain. Tired of always being logged out whenever I need it.

Nice that Google start adding #passkey support, but sad that I won’t be able to use them as they require #iCloudKeychain on #iPhone and there is no way that I enable that 😔

@tomlowenthal @matthew_d_green I’ve seen apps occasionally ask for the password to make sure you haven’t forgotten it.

Then all you need to do is roughly what #iCloudKeychain does: when you add a second device, you have to provide the password for the first device. The two can then negotiate a key pair.

Od kilku miesięcy używam #1Password do zarządzania hasłami.

Postanowiłem jednak wrócić do #iCloudKeyChain bo i tak nie używam żadnych funkcji dodatkowych.

Tak samo nie używam żadnych innych urządzeń poza #Apple i żadnych innych przeglądarek poza #AppleSafari.

To jest początek mojej rezygnacji z niepotrzebnych subskrypcji, dlatego pod nowym hashtagiem zachęcam do podzielenia się swoimi historiami.

Jeżeli mogę używam aplikacji domyślnych, czyli od Apple. Jedynym wyjątkiem jest menedżer haseł, bo jako główny służy mi 1Password.

Arc Browser na razie jest dostępny tylko na MacOS, ale w styczniu ma pojawić się wersja na Windows.

@rmondello I switched to #iCloudKeychain from 1P, but after one year (2021-2022), I had to go back to 1P because the friction with macOS is too big. It only supports Safari, and AutoFill doesn’t work with apps. The lack of Family Sharing is another problem for me. So I’m using #1Password again. I’m not a happy customer, but it is the best option for my needs. 🙁
