Neural Operators are an approximate solver of differential equations. The Fourier Neural Operator applies deep learning to the (Fourier transformed) spectrum of the dynamical system. Our idea (called F-FNO) models each dimension separately (Factorized), but contributions include residual connections, Markov assumption, weight sharing, Gaussian noise, teacher forcing. Results on various dynamical systems, topologies, and meshes.

#ICLR rolling out virtual meeting option for reviewers is great. Although scheduling a meeting with reveiwers spread across the world is hard, but talking to other reviewers just felt like going to a conference. What’s more, the process felt like a collective effort and not an individual exercise. Moreover, the focus was to provide constructive comments than to reject for things which can be addressed quickly. #ML #AI
