My 910 came with the UT-102 (fun to change it to Japanese) and one UT-106. I have a 3rd-party CR-293 that I need to install as well. UT-106s are hard to find, but would like to put one in the other receiver as well.

The 706 (all versions) *just* missed Icom's switch to DSP filtering. The follow-on IC-7000 had it but I gather the latter had "issues" since it never gets the love that the 706 does.
1) thank you for adding to the radio control software universe;
2) as an #IcomFanBoy let me apologize for the poor state of CI-V protocol documentation. π

@Stormgren @N0ZB The Molex-y connectors are disappearing from the newer Icoms but AFAIK, the 3.5-mm connector on my IC-705 will talk to an older AH tuner. Those Molex-y connectors go back ~30 years on Icom HF radios.
@croyle I found the manual for the 706 & the 706MkIIg & both claim support for "09" on the CI-V bus which is "memory write" in addition to other commands for selecting memory mode & specific channels so it seems POSSIBLE ... assuming someone has put that in their software. CI-V is pretty consistent across the Icom-iverse, so you might be able to find some software that does support loading mems to a different model & then tricking the software.
@kc2ihx As I said, #icomfanboy so went digging. I'd forgotten that Icom provided an adapter that broke out the 13-pin ACC into an 8-pin ACC(1) and 7-pin ACC(2) so that if you already had everything set up for the old style, it was plug/play.
But the new stuff is USB and OMG is my 705 easier to set up! :-D
@kc2ihx Well, good news! The 8-pin Icom ACC(1) connectors are all (mostly) the same. Not all pins are active - my 746 has an FSK pin but the 725 I had years ago had the pin, but it was "NC". I would guess that any radio with the 13-pin ACC port are similarly standard. Yes, I am an #IcomFanBoy
Pin contact could be the problem. I've not experienced issues with either ACC(1) or DATA on an Icom, but don't get me started on the 6-pin Molex DC connector!
@megahertz Neat! I will have to try that with my IC-705 and DL8MRE's SDR-Control ... once I find (and charge) my SO's pencil ...
@qrper @tsherrygeo It's not for everyone but as an #IcomFanBoy & occasional #DSTAR user, it appealed. And I thank you for extolling its receive virtues in whatever that online forum was.
@wd9ewk @n6utc I admit that I didn't know the 4100 had an auto-detect. Off to the radio room now to enable it. π
