Finally using the SUV-ness of my car. Taking the kids bike riding on the canal the other day, and, tonight, hauling a storage cabinet that’s about as tall as I am.

Not sure this warrants the size of my car, but it is a coincidence that both events line up with the reveal of the new VW ID.7, a car that seems just about perfect in my opinion (other than the size and the dang price).

Saw that VW is unveiling the ID7 today. Seems to be a Passat as an EV.
I had a Passat TDI diesel 8-9 years ago. Loved it. Probably would still have it if not for diesel gate and a really good buy-back deal.
Have thought about going electric for a couple years. had an ID4 on order for 10 months and bailed. Maybe a Bolt?? .
This might do it. Not in the US till 2024 and availability will probably really stink so not holding my breath.
