To my mind the problem with the #IGG (Investigative #GeneticGenealogy ) in the #MoscowMurders / #IdahoMurders is not the role in getting to the arrest in question, but the possibility it may not have been done at all.

We know of past FBI parrallel construction transgressions... 'IGG tips/leads' without any substantiating evidence of effort is - or risks being - cover for mass domestic surveillance, ostensibly undisclosed under the guise of 'privacy'.

Thus I think should be in disclosure...

Been on a #TrueCrime kick for a year or so now. (At least.) If you are white and are going to be murdered, it's most likely by your intimate partner, or a former one. Divorce from an abusive partner is dangerous. Home invasion murders are rare. Serial killers target sex workers, not housewives. Cops are useless unless the path to the murderer is clear, or unless they get a lot of pressure from the community.

In short, the #IdahoMurders are an anomaly, not the rule.

Fascinated by the latest in this case. Mainly, how tight the investigation seems. But as far as psychopathic criminals go, the dude is actually pretty boring. So much so he is not worth naming. It is sick how people are obsessed with his identity and feeds right into this thing he is. It is good he fucked up... But I've always thought that since #genetic data is stored in a computer file, it's reasonable to assume it could be manipulated and hacked like any other file.

I think that's one reason why law enforcement currently insists on a separate #DNA test for anyone identified by #GeneticGenealogy .

It also explains the police pointing out #BryanKohberger 's white Hyndia Elantra . They don't want their case seen as solely based on DNA.
