Weird: despite asking for a national #IDnumber always and everywhere, AND the importance of the process to register as a resident with a local council, the federal Spanish government does not use the latter to update its various databases. No correspondence between my #IDcard, social security, and local council addresses 🤪 And other services ask for a certificate of the latter, not a database check. Fortunately, my #DigitalID did (for once) make it easy to update SS and get the cert

If we had a #National #IDCard, as many countries have, they wouldn't be able to suppress our votes, as everybody would have one.

Maybe we should *demand* its introduction? It would put an end to #VoterSuppression.

#voters will need photo-ID to #Vote in May 23 local/Mayoral #elections and at the next General Election. If you don't have a passport or photo-driving licence you can get a #free Voter ID at citizencard.com using code FREEVOTERID.
