Predictions for #LocalElection2023?

Results will be drab and uninteresting. Support for #GTTO will partially conceal disenchantment with Starmer's #Labour and vice versa. Support for local MPs will partially conceal disenchantment with Westminster #UKPolitics​. Turnout will be low because of disillusionment with UK democracy generally, and #IDCards specifically, partially concealing how hated the #Tories are

Tories will claim victory. So will Starmer. Labour will make excuses for him

Introduction/context: traditionally #Brazilian #IdCards didn't show a #GenderMarker, and for about 10y people with a "nome social" (preferred name) had it shown in the in the main spot with their "nome civil" (legal name) being shown in the back.

The new ID card model however does include an explicit gender marker and it puts the "nome social" right below the legal name which many people see as #transphobic.

The problem with these new government #IDCards is that they could be used to keep you out of places as well as help to get you in.
