As we talked about it, she and I got into the whole banned books in Texas thing, and asked me questions about the reasoning for books lists. So we did some research together, found tons of books that she read with her students and I read with my teachers, and came to the realization that by Texas standards, #idcbook should be banned because it includes the topics of race, gender, health and medical benefits, and inclusion.
