The more I think about it the less likely I think I'll be working at a for-profit corporation. Growth is just not sustainable on longer timescales. The legal requirement to make profit for investors means companies will inevitably work to accumulate wealth for the wealthy. I think I would be a lot more comfortable working for a public benefit corporation.

A weird phenomenon that happens as people my age get older is that we refer to Mr. Rogers as Fred Rogers and Steve Irwin as Mr. Irwin. Fred went from a teacher to an old friend we reminisce about, and Steve became a venerated teacher that we reflect upon.
