I'm sure this is a dumb way to test one of these 3.5mm stereo Y cable, but it certainly does work! Even this set up has its uses. I can "feed" both of my iCats at the same time much more quietly. But the primary idea I have in mind is hook up an iCat & a better speaker to the splitter. Then plug the splitter into an audio source. Then mute the audio output from the iCat once it starts "eating" via the tail switch. That way I can have my cake & eat it.

I took the #bluetooth transmitter & receiver device I had & tested it in receiver mode for the first time with my #iCat. Works a treat! They are enjoying the music.

I also recently purchased a black iCat. I'm looking forward to having these two together. I've always had a soft spot for them. The white one pictured here is the one I had in childhood, bought new some time in 2006 or 2007.

My actual cats be like 🙄 lol

Note that using the tail switch mutes the audio if you're using it as a speaker, as demonstrated here, but I don't show it in the video. It does work on this particular iCat though.

I have been on a nostalgia trip recently. I've been looking at test modes for some toys. I wondered if there was one for the #iCat, and found one. Sterling Andrews on YouTube demonstrated it, and hearing the sounds and seeing the iCat again brought it all back to me.

I still have my white iCat all these years later. It still works, and it cleaned up pretty well! It's just slightly yellowed, or "sun-kissed" as I like to say.
