My #netbsd-10.99.2/​#pkgsrc-2022Q4 #OpenSimh #VAX is building perl5 and it already is using miniperl:

Reading big5-hkscs (big5-hkscs)

Booting errors/breaks with 512M RAM and the RAM size only is settable in powers of 2. ​:-(
[gcc (nb1 20220722) 10.4.0] sometimes errors on -O2 and -Os, -O1 untested, -O0 works.

Maybe it still can be fun...

Is there an FPGA-VAX out there?
I woudn't care if it were unrealistically fast... ​;-)
