If a site is DeFederated, and one self-hosted mastodon, wouldn't it be optional for me to add the content on my site and federate with any one site I choose? I'm wondering though if I'm making a mountain out of a molehill and I couldn't just find a client that has multiple accounts per site per feed if that even exists.

Basically, I like reddit. There are parts of it that hit a center-left sweet spot where discourse can actually occur and people can actually argue and have discussions about things edgier than a photo of someone's salad. Say what you will about 4chan, there are leftists on /pol/ getting in the fray.

I fear though that the ponds won't really mix and I'll just end up with a feed that looks like half of the population is absolutely insane and the other half is... still insane but not fascist.

No grey areas on the internet anymore.
