Anyway, that's a roundabout way of saying that I'm in the midst of picking an internal TLD scheme for my VPN, and I've decided the ISO3166 User Assigned Code Elements* should be and are fair game. (Alongside .home.arpa, which you can thank the for.)

* AA, QM to QZ, XA to XZ, and ZZ (but avoid XN)

can suck it.

The air quality during the sessions was surprisingly good in the conference rooms (CO2 levels near outdoor levels), so I'm guessing I picked up either during a meal, at the social, maybe on the streets outside, or due to air exchange from an adjacent hotel room. (In retrospect there are some signs the hotel room next to mine sharing an air shaft might have had people quarantining. Next time I'm bringing a portable air purifier for my room.)

is not over. My first work travel since the beforetimes was to in San Francisco a few weeks ago. Despite masking on the flight and during sessions, I ended up testing positive on Friday morning. My first time ever getting Covid! I got to spend the next week quarantining in the hotel, thankfully with only relatively mild symptoms. I'd gotten all the vaccines I was eligible for but the last dose was almost a year ago. I had symptom rebound, so got to mask at home for another week.

@g3rv4 Have you tried changing gai.conf to increase the priority of ? This has some discussion of the issues: datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/. The mailing list in the is discussing changing the recommend defaults.

In working on the last few Drafts, found the GitHub workflow using markdown and GH actions to be absolutely *incredible*. It makes the process so much easier than before. This is an absolute game changer for anyone fumbling around trying to figure out the process. github.com/martinthomson/i-d-t

Do we have anyone in @ietf who can unblock @mullvadnet so that we can access their sites/documents? VPN is good for users, please stop blocking.

@irtf The irony is that IRTF uses privacy-abusing tech to send this meeting notice about web . Seriously?! The is a bit rich considering is an branch that works on privacy & is a branch of IRTF. How are these task forces not embarrassed?

@privateger considering the prices of vendors like that don't even follow & nomenclature, I'd say that claim is rather applying to Cisco than the likes of Juniper, Sophos, Extreme Networks, HPE Aruba and IBM.

Also you can still buy the regular-ass cloudkey and stuff to manage a LAN.

And even if you ain't the client for a surveillance camera system, their on-prem solution is at least configureable to comply with BDSG & GDPR, which Amazon Ring can't and won't!
