Had to deactivate the #Quadro P600 in a #ThinkPad #P15v because #nvidia's shitty drivers refuse to handle #MixedDPI gracefully but the #iGPU of the #Xeon 10855M does just run flawlessly and supports #Wayland out of the box...

Ich wollte mal versuchen, wie es ist in einer virtuellen Maschine zu zocken, aber ohne die Möglichkeit auch nur die #iGPU durchzureichen (Der #Pentium G4560 unterstützt dies leider nicht), wird das wohl nichts. Nicht mal #Steam will richtig starten.

Ist wohl ein Projekt, dass ich etwas zurückstellen muss.

@tebicat Depends on whether or not it's using variable refresh rate...

A lot of #ARM64-#iGPU's and panels do that and they can go as low as 24p if not lower.

Also you may have some #Cryptojacking hardware that is mining on your devices and thus thermal throttling to kick in...

I'm more convinced that #Intel will get #Arc to the same standard as their #iGPU|s have been for ages in terms of stability than #nvidia being less asshole-ish in the future.

We've seen a complete reversal of tech wisdom with #AMD & nvidia swapping seats when it comes to recommended Hardware, and it's kinda a shame that nvidia went worse...

I just noticed the Intel Graphics Command Center (IGCC) auto-updated to version 1.100.4779.0 on May 4th and removed its video capture and game features (even though I have auto-updates disabled in the Microsoft Store). I never used these features, but I was surprised to see them missing today.

Ok, this is what I need:

A #Linux #distro, that
- is #Debian based
- has #KDE #Plasma
- has no problems with a #AMD / #nVidia #GPU (AMD #iGPU & nVidia #dGPU) system
- is good and usable for normal / office tasks, #coding, #gaming, #3D modelling and post prod.
- doesn't end with *buntu as they send data home just as vanilla Ubuntu

Any ideas?

(Already tried KDE #Neon, but it has #driver issues with my GPUs. If someone has a fix I am happy to grab and test it!)

@PeterCxy maybe they wanted to prevent people from accidentially using #eGPUs and still output video from the #iGPU, causing the PCOe link to be degraded into 2 lanes instead of 4.
