I just watched a video of a Black FL Republican Rep Barnaby describing trans folks as 'mutants.' And now I want Rep Barnaby to suffer some consequences.

Barnaby is the kind of man I grew up with in the church and when I encounter men like him, it makes me want to grrrrrrrr. 🖐🏾 💥 🖐🏾 💥 🖐🏾 💥

But I hope our community is beginning to understand that the fight for trans visibility & rights isn't a Those People fight. As in, 'oh, this is just for *those people*.'

Uh-uh.

Or do we not want to talk about the rising murders of our Black trans sisters over the past several years - deaths at the hands of folks in *our community.*

I don't know who needs to hear it but the fight for Black liberation & life includes liberation & life for Black trans folx.
