Really useful insights around nail psoriasis at #IIDFall22. All the physicians agreed that topicals are not really efficacious. Steroid injections are painful. Biologics do work, but it can take a year to be able to see improvement since nails grow slowly.

Loved listening to Dr. Hilary Baldwin talk about how cleansers can be a double-edged sword. Of course, cleaning dirt, bacteria is important. But they can also perturb stratum corneum proteins, lipids, microbiome. #IIDFall22

It’s really something as a dermatologist to see how quickly the atopic dermatitis landscape has changed!! Prior to 2017, prednisone was the only FDA approved systemic therapy for atopic dermatitis. Upcoming @AADskin@twitter.com guidelines will help bring things up to speed! #IIDFall22

1) Have patient soak in a tub for 15 mins (can use dilute bleach or vinegar if worried about secondary infection
