Movie I saw last night: "Living" (2022). I put this one off for weeks because it's a remake of "Ikuru" (1952), one of my favorite Japanese movies, and I was indignant that anyone would see the need to remake #Ikuru. I finally saw it last night, and it's worth seeing for Bill Nighy's Oscar-nominated performance, which is marvelous (when is he not?). But the original is the better movie, and I hope this movie will inspire people to see Ikuru! #OscarNominations #Living #film #filmastodon
