On the other hand, you've got to admire her discipline in defending a policy she may not be very impressed by either.

Because what I was impressed by, later in the debate, was the detail Sarah Pallet was able to go into on justice issues, and housing. Both in a very short time. These are obviously policy areas she is passionate about, and knows well.

Given all the space opening up in the front bench, she's one to watch as Labour regroups post-election.

I always like to get a decent part of the walk done before I stop for breakfast. This is my #breakfast view from the bench by the bridge in the village of #Ilam. I did push on further after this before heading back to #Ashbourne.

Walked over the top from the #Tissington Trail into the next valley west and follower the #Dove northwards until it met the #Manifold at the bottom of #Dovedale. The world-famous Issac Walton Hotel is on the left, And #Thorpe Cloud on the right. My path though, was not along Dovedale, but to follow the Manifold to #Ilam.

Tomorrow, all being well, I shall be #routemaking along a number of potential off-road routes between #Ashbourne and #Ilam in #Derbyshire to see which one I prefer to include as the best walking path for my #GrandTourOfDerbyshire. (Derbyshire-ish - I will wander into neighbouring counties to pick up the good bits whenever I'm near)

And yes, I know #SlowWays are "already doing this", but they're not. SlowWays goes from #town centre to town centre.My routes go along the spaces between towns, and avoid going through towns as much as possible, creating unique (or rediscovering #historic) #greenways that cross the #British #countryside linking places of interest to me without relying on road or town networks.

It's an interesting exercise, and it took me a while to get my head around it. We tend to think in terms of town to town when travelling, but there's no need when #walking.
