#TFW you take all of your weight and calorie tracking data, calculate how many fewer net calories you need to be eating per day to lose half a pound a week, adjust your calorie target by that amount, check in two weeks later, and... you've lost exactly a half pound each of the past two weeks.
(I'm in my annual "Lose the weight during the summer that I gained being a lump all winter" phase which is how I keep my weight under control.)
