This week I have mostly been painting ghosts, a shrine to Humakt, and a Humakti duck to go with it, from @FenrisGames
Got to say, the Games Workshop spirit hosts were a massive pain to assemble.
But I loved making the shrine and posting the duck.

Started with simple patterns (vintage patterns at second hand shops or free online, eg peppermint magazine) to learn skills. Indie designers (Helen's Closet) do online tutorials for the patterns & you can learn techniques. Cheap fabric secondhand. Pixelfed is pretty active with makers. Basic skills & then explore!

I made a thing!
It has lists of books for, by, and about childless and childfree people.
It also has some information for librarians about making libraries more inclusive around these issues.
It's a little rough around the edges still, but I'm proud I've gotten it this far.

This was so much fun to wear and the gig was an amazing success.
I never thought I’d be signing with a queer choir in Newcastle cathedral for Pride month. It was quite an emotional evening. ❤️😭🤩😁🌈
(And I admit, answering the question of “where did you get your dress?” with “I made it.” was an extra special cherry on top!)

Baked some foccacia bread for the first time! It turned out pretty well, though it needs more salt and I need to figure out why it turned out a bit more dense than planned. Otherwise, the flavor is spot-on. :D Not bad for a first try!
