I was trying to figure out if #Appleseed rendering engine is dead or not, last version in 2019, but it seems not but last commit is Feb 28, 2022, #ImageEngine integrated the render with #Gaffer in their pipeline, may have got its hands on the developers, If you hire the developers it's like making it closed. anyway thanks to Image Engine that released Gaffer opensource.
