A meaningful and truthful life is about growth and development, about challenging one’s assumptions and prejudices, and ultimately attempting to become a better individual. Imam al-Junayd, among the greatest of the Sufis, recognised this, he saw that truth did not exist in a stagnant state, it was a thing to be chased and sought after, not captured and caged. There is no such thing as a complacent truth-seeker.
