I first read the volume 1 two years ago, and happily re-read it as a refresher before starting on the 2nd book.

Vol. 1 could be accused of being a bit one-note for most of the story, while vol. 2 develops both of the leads in some nice ways, as Rae prioritizes Claire's happiness over her own desires, while Claire's thorny exterior softens in response.

There's also some explicit discussion of *various* sexualities.

Estoy súper emocionada con la noticia de que #MeEnamoreDeLaVillana vaya a tener un anime. Estoy siguiendo la novela desde que la licenció #SekaiEditorial y la verdad es que soy súper fan. Muchísimas gracias, Inori-sensei, por crear esta obra de arte sáfica. Además de que hasta donde sé, las novelas escritas desde el punto de vista de Claire siguen en publicación (Revolution, creo que se llaman) y el manga también sigue abierto. El cuál por cierto también querré comprar, que lo trajo #ArechiManga. Aunque sinceramente me gusta mucho más el estilo de dibujo de Hanagata-san, el ilustrador de las novelas. Ojalá hubiesen decidido seguir esa estética para el anime...

En cualquier caso, son mis niñas y las quiero un montón y voy a coger todo lo que me den de ellas con los brazos abiertos.

I just finished #ImInLoveWithTheVillainess Overall, I loved it but in the details, there's some messiness to the writing. I love how wanting the author is to talk about her experience and opinions on LGBTQIA+ issues, however sometimes it feels like she's going on too much and soapboxing. The story itself was really enjoyable. Sometimes it was convoluted, or did some silly things with it magic system, but I was glad to see the success of Rae and Claire's story. 7/10
