Jhal Muri/Masala Muri
This particular snack is made with Muri (crispy puffed rice) and is quintessential to Bengal. A savory treat with so much texture, flavors, and freshness, and it can be a great comfort food and an easy snack to make and share with people over ‘Adda’ (the Bengali culture of casually hanging out and sharing a hearty chat).

Thankful for a family weekend and being able to make nissu/pulla. Sweet, sugar crust and soft, pillowy cardomom interior. #HolidayBaking #nostalgia #immigrantfood

Love this remark lol. As a Bengali, I love goat meat— whether it is a Bengali/Indian Goat curry or a Goat Biryani, Mexican Birria, or a Yeomso Tang— Korean goat stew. It is however rare to find it in the US in restaurants, although that is slowly changing.
