Anthony Shim's “#RiceboySleeps ” tells the #story of a young #Korean boy & his mother #immigrating to #BritishColumbia in the ‘90s. Shim describes the #film a #SemiAutobiographical, inspired by his own #PersonalJourney .
"Growing up, I felt like I'd never seen a film, or a TV show, or even a play that depicted the #ImmigrantExperience in the way that (reflected my own)," said Shim, who lived on #VancouverIsland before moving to #Coquitlam as a teenager.

This is such an... obvious finding? The cost of #immigrating to the US is prohibitively expensive. And it's not like the US hands out #H1B visas on entry level salaries

We've had our first round of friends/family picking up things we're getting rid of. It was actually really nice. We have so much to do and so little time/energy. Fingers crossed this works out. #internationalmove #moving #packing #immigrating
