I finished reading this #book on the #immortal #Sappho this evening. I took my time with the #poetry reading through the #odes and #fragments a few times. The #lyricism is unsurpassed. I can only imagine what they must have sounded like, sung in #ClassicalGreek. I was most impressed by her references to #astronomy. Northern Chaos Gods is the name of the first #Immortal album post Abbath.

Demonaz sounds a bit like Abbath pre 2000, like a little mean green Goblin.
The opener/title track sounds like straight forward Black Metal, less melodic than the predecessor albums.

Also, the album reacht #17 in the Austrian charts, in case you wondered.
