Yesterday was International #Zebra day. Due to the hard work of the Immune Deficiency Foundation, zebras always remind me how important it is to consider #immunodeficiencies when people present with SPUR symptoms

SPUR = Severe, Persistent, Unusual or Recurrent infections

@iowacovid19tracker The article was okay until the 2nd to last paragraph. It wasn't the lack of being around others that caused #immunodeficiencies. It's #SARSCoV2. This virus (along with #measles, #HIV and others) directly damages the immune system. We've thrown kids under the bus and allowed them all to be infected. Now we're starting to see the consequences.

I'm a vulnerable person who needs others to wear masks too. 😟

I've been stopped outside by randos who aggressively prevented me from walking to my destination & yelled at numerous times, just because I was wearing a #mask.

I even had a dude livestreaming me & laughing in addition. I kid you not.

I have multiple immunodeficiencies & need to wear a mask for other reasons too. I wore masks before the pandemic. This never happened then; I used to only get weird stares.
