Under The Whispering Door by TJ Klune just absolutely gutted me. I cried multiple times. It's an amazing book but it's also absolutely an emotional roller coaster. I wish there was more of it to read but also I'm glad I'm done reading it I unpacked a of personal stuff through this one. Pay attention to the CWs at the beginning of the book, especially if you have any grief you're dealing with or haven't unpacked yet.

I spent quite a bit of time rereading some old favorites from TrekLit, and there's a book called "Recovery" by J.M. Dillard, which features Kirk and McCoy, while Spock is secluded on Vulcan undergoing the training for Kolinahr (the white robe he's seen wearing in TMP). Kirk and McCoy find themselves neck-deep in a dangerous situation that's claimed lives. With their inner monologues, they reach for him at the same time, while in different locations, and Spock hears them.

Back in like, august(?) had a random conversation about #childhood stuff and somehow glass #marbles came up. I mentioned I never had any, because I was #bullied mercilessly in school and marbles were apparently a status thing 🤷🏻‍♂️.

My husband gave me a ton of marbles for #xmas. A completely useless, stupid, impractical and unnecessary #present that is also hands-down THE most beautiful present I’ve ever received.
