I may be the minority here, but I think #baroque #music provides great BGM for #impactplay. J.S. #Bach is my favorite for a long flogging/whipping scene (e.g. The Art of Fugue). R. #Wagner is another alternative for a shorter scene (c. 45 min): Tannhauser overture in piano (warm-up) followed by the orchestra version (crescendo! finale!)

What senses do you engage when you bottom for an #impactplay scene? Do you hear the different tenor of floggers? Do you savor the burning sensation after each hit? Do you feel how your back muscle shakes after a heavy impact?

Thoughts of worry and fear tend to distract one’s immersion in the flow of impacts. By consciously engaging other sensual perception, a bottom can be more in tuned with their body, and train the mind to achieve a meditative state focusing on the here and now. #impacttalk
