Clarance Thomas needs to resign or be impeached. There’s enough credible evidence of corruption that it’s undermines what little faith we have left in the court. It needs to be investigated. Congress’s duty of oversight is the only way to keep #SCOTUS corruption. If he’s innocent, let the investigation prove that, but it must be investigated if we’re not going to just give in to corruption.

I mean, I know the Republicans won’t let it pass the House and they won’t convict in the Senate, they’re not going to give up that power.

Democrats are apparently going to concede this fight without even trying, not that I expect more from the party who still wants to compromise with fascists.

Politics aside, corruption in our highest court is an existential threat to stability and the country. That no one can do anything about it is really bad. That no one is even trying is terrifying.

My hope is that we are inching closer to a broad realization by the US populace at large, that the #Republican party and any actions they undertake, are rooted in greed, corruption, and the undermining of #democracy. An opposition party is important to a functioning democracy, but not one that disagrees, at it's core, that democracy itself is important to maintain as a principal.
