#ImproveMastodon by making the username auto-suggest better.

It currently suggests all sorts of people I don't follow before people I do and who also follow me. Makes it difficult to mention some people unless I can get their handle just right. Which makes auto-suggest a bit pointless.

Where in #mastodon can I visualize the #hashtags I follow? I get the sense following was added without a consideration for the full lifecycle of managing that. Following hashtags in lists comes to mind too. Back to GitHub… #ImproveMastodon

OK. And now I figured out why it was exploding. A coupe if prior who couldn’t find a toot they wouldn’t boost. I love you but now you’re in a list. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe I’ll check/post a #mastodon issue for toot throttling and or scheduling/buffering new toots to allow exuberance at a pace that won’t bury us. 😁 #ImproveMastodon

I wish the #ScreenReader mixed-case people would talk to the #mastodon case-sensitive #hashtag people. This is dumb and counterproductive. #ImproveMastodon

I want to keep following them but also want to put them in a list so I don't have their millions of posts overwhelm my home timeline. But muting them hides them in the list timeline too. 😕

Here’s a crazy idea for #ImproveMastodon :

Rather than treat #language as a #filter, why not use it to #automatically #translate toots? How many clicks and taps might be saved? How many more conversations might result?

Or does every client need to consider this instead? Thoughts, @ivory ?

The search input box under the explore tab doesn't do the autosuggestion thing that you get when type a hastag for a post. I think it should. I think it needs to so you can work out what you actually need to be searching for rather than just guessing.
