More fun from tonight: I saw the CEO of the company I work for standing at the elevators. I blurted put his first name, like we are bffs. He looks up so I introduce myself by saying “Hi, I’m Jen S., I work for you!” 🤦🏼‍♀️Big laugh. He says hi, etc, then introduces me to the guys he’s with and says they work for him too. 😂 More laughs and chatting. The friends who were with me didn’t really understand what was happening.

I’ll be getting a lot of mileage out of this at work.

So I pretty much BUY ANY Mothman stuff. I bought several episodes on iTunes that had him in the title without looking at the description and I was like 1)how could they do this to my sweet cinnamon roll Mothy and 2)Why did I spend money without checking?

Does anyone else have an urge to buy something, anything at a store, if the item you wanted wasn’t there?

I made a beeline for a specific item and it wasn’t in stock.

I panic, I look for something that catches my eye, buy it & then when I leave I wonder why I bought it?

It’s usually fine. Like I buy pasta when I meant to buy a sandwich… but still 😂

I *love* the conceit of this book. And it’s clever & creative af - which means that @Louiestowell is clever & creative af.

I wish I could turn back time (<—- you heard that as Cher, right?) and give this book to my 11yo self, who would have had his mind blown in the most delighted fashion.

I think the most negative real-world influence a life of videogames has given me isn't "violent tendencies" like popular media thinks...

But is instead a consistent, low grade impulse of wanting to buy the biggest backpack I possibly can. I don't have anything I need to put in it now, but what if I turn over a rock somewhere and $50k worth of items fall out from under it?

I’m the kind of person who will switch lines at store checkouts; change lanes on the highway.
I didn’t know about instances when I signed up. I happened across one and here I am.
Some days I think about changing because I did not thoughtfully choose my instance, but then I think about how changing lines or lanes does not necessarily make things better. Perhaps here is as good as any place.

My most memorable story - around 10-12 years back, I remember my room mate asked asked me to get some groceries for dinner. I went, got distracted, and bought a .

To this day, I'm like why did I do that? Didn't even know that desire was lurking in some corners.

Side note: Not sure what we had for dinner that day. Probably instant noodles, and leftovers. Also, that time I wasn't diagnosed.
