Anime 14/24 -

This really surprised me with how good it is. is a fantastic proactive protagonist, who knows what she wants and goes for it. She isn’t content to sit on the sidelines and let fate come to her. The fact that she is the one who pursues a with helped me get emotionally invested, and their relationship felt meaningful.

But speaking of Aileen, she was definitely the best part of the whole show. And it helps that she's voiced by Rie Takahashi. And I liked the fact that the main antagonist is also from our world, so she is on equal footing with Aileen.

While not without flaws, this anime was enjoyable enough for me. I felt like there were a lot of secondary characters that kinda blend together, like the group Aileen recruited in the first arc, of which only Isaac was really necessary.

Finishing : suffers from low production values and some rushed parts, but I really loved the main characters. Aileen was a captivating protagonist who managed to be villainess enough to not make the title absurd, her relationship with Claude just worked for me. It helped that she had a proper antagonist as well. I really want to check out the source material…
