I've had issues and had to set boundaries with FIL d/t his constant need for control (especially when he was constantly critical when I had worse depression). But the power struggles between him and his grandson (my nephew in law) are epic. I'm glad I won't be with them today. #adhd #autism #neurodivergent #InattentiveADHD

How our neurodivergency differs:

Me: Defer to other, be a helper, bored, and distracted. (Have now learned to set boundaries though.) #InattentiveADHD

Father-in-law: Needs control, be center of everything / attention, and always doing something. High likelihood of #autism with possibility of #adhd.

Nephew-in-law: Needs control, center of attention, and constant stimuli. #autism + #HyperactiveADHD

I don't get along well w/ those that need constant attention and control.

So, I would go days without showering because of depression and 'symptoms of autism'. Apparently that means I share some symptoms with people who have autism, but don't have autism. No idea what to do with that information.

Anyway, thanks to medication, therapy, and willpower, I'm improving dramatically! Now I go without showering for days because I forget to have one!

My kid struggles with #ocd #anxiety #depression and I believe we’re on a good path with her now with meds and #dbtTherapy but her #inattentiveadhd #ADHD makes school almost impossible. Consequently I am *struggling* not to fail her as a parent.
