Fluctuation, oscillation, intermittent symptoms, flare-up, unpredictable, irregular...these words all describe #dynamicDisability. We need to acknowledge common languages.

Seemingly unrelated ways of being have similar (dynamic) impacts on #accommodations + #inclusiveDesign strategy. Workplaces, schools, institutions rarely take the dynamic nature of #disability into account when making accommodations + designing for #accessibility / #a11y

"universal truths" in design are not universal at all, usually steeped in a western, White, privileged perspective. If we want to be more inclusive, we need to reevaluate established norms across multiple elements of design, such as typography, imagery, and symbolism.

Working with people for whom English is a second language? Some great tips here. I know I'm often guilty of (a) talking way too fast, and (b) in a very strong accent that only people from Norn Iron* can understand.

*For native English speakers, speaking English at work is a privilege. Your international colleagues have done a LOT of hard work to learn English, often to have better career opportunities at global companies. What they have done is extremely difficult and commendable.*

Leave it up through all the opening credits, if possible. People don't care nearly as much about who stars in something they are watching as they do about if what they are watching will cause them a seizure.
