Ginormo Sword
This one's coming to you from some years back. Ginormo Sword, by Babarageo back in 2008, a Flash game that's playable once again via Ruffle. It is one of a small, but gratifying, genre of games where you start small and just get bigger and bigger and bigger, and part of the fun is just seeing to what extremes the game supports you going.

i've been (weirdly) getting into #incremental games recently.

i was like "why do people even play these things" and now i'm playing like 4 of them on my phone and ipad at various intervals.

here's what i've been playing. note that i have a very low tolerance for advertising bullshit, so most of these games have either no ads or IAP. if they do, they're unobtrusive -- and most of those have a low price-point for "get rid of the ads", which supports the dev (and most of these are indie efforts).

Merry #WebGamesAdvent! We're now getting to the "Tier 1" games of my collection - games that (IMO) are actually *fun*.

"Star Hopper: Crank" is one of my favorites because it combines #spaceships, building, and #incremental elements.

I missed yesterday's #WebGamesAdvent games: "Master of 1000 Suns", and the quasi-sequel "Master of 13k Suns". They're both #incremental games meant to be minimized versions of #4X space conquest games like #MasterOfOrion.

MORTAL is the 6th "game" of my December #WebGamesAdvent …although this is not really a game because it involves no choices. I rushed it out at the last minute for an old #LudumDare #LDJAM. Play it if you want to spend just 1-2 minutes to see a silly interpretation of a #LifeSim #Incremental.

#mastoadmin The increase of backup sizes start to make me worried.

I'm the only user on my instance, and I follow 189 people.

No remote assets are added, just the #postgres db and assets of #mastodon . These files are compressed with maximum #7zip compression level, and have #lzma2 enabled #encryption .

Backups are not #incremental . I do full #backup of my #docker instance daily.

The instance runs at a 120gb ssd local server.

I'll keep on monitoring this, but this increase is absurd.
