For someone who strongly believes product development ought to be a continuous process, it’d be a total mismatch if he thinks the other parts of the PLC are a one-off activity.

What would have happened to us if we were told that there are an infinite amount of numbers to learn so as to be able to quantify?

We may have fallen out very early accepting “FAILURE”.

OTOH, it’s not like the teachers at schools are working devoid any pressure whatsoever. They’re under tremendous pressure & oddly though, some may even regularly find themselves in a firing range for the leniency they show.
