Saying that #NicolaSturgeon resigned because of the Gender Recognition Act amounts to say she was ousted by the Daily Mail. The #GRA was the most discussed issue in the history of the Scottish Parliament (hard fact) with opposers getting a huge platform and all resources to make her point, but is it now going to be portrayed as an imposition of Kim-Jong Sturgeon? The #IndependenceReferendum, on the other hand, was actually playing with fire, and most likely to be the cause.

They reminded me of my reaction to the response of, I think, Alister Jack, to the Supreme Court decision on the holding of an #independencereferendum. In essence, he said no referendum till at least 6 months’ worth of polls showed over 60% support for independence 1/

I am so sorry to my friends in #Scotland regarding the decision of the #UKSupremeCourt today regarding the #IndependenceReferendum - I do, however, hope that this decision can be challenged and that there will be an opportunity for the Scottish people to exercise a decision for autonomy that doesn’t involve a mandatory consent from WM.

So basically, the UK is holding Scotland hostage. Cause there is no way this government is gonna give consent for the Referendum to happen.
Scotland should have a say over it’s own destiny. Especially as the Tories promised that the UK would stay within the European Union.

Scottish Independence SC Ruling - the ruling today of the SC that an independence referendum cannot be held without Westminster consent is not surprising.

The role of the court is to interpret the law, and the law on this was fairly clear.
