While cover bands are generally independent bands, the term "independent band" does NOT mean "cover band." When telling people about the old internet radio station, and even when getting licensing all sorted out, too many people could not comprehend the difference.

Independent bands and artists *write * their * own * songs,* and record and perform their own work. More people need to understand that.

Spotify - Silent Hearts

Silent Hearts, from Ohio, were one of the most significant bands from the old project. They were kind, they were supportive, and they are an excellent band. Their autographed poster still hangs above my desk, framed of course, and i still drink coffee every evening from my Silent Hearts cup, just like the one in the 'Ghost' video. On the days i miss that project, they are among the top reasons why.

The thing about my old project was that it was about connections. I didn't just play songs, i made connections, talked to the bands. This vocalist has a story, and my story intersects his at a dark point. 💔 This band, like so many others, means a lot to me.
