Freelance folks, if you accept third-party payments from companies like PayPal, Stripe, and Square, the IRS just announced a delay in the new 1099-K rules. If you live in a state that requires 1099-Ks at a higher threshold than that required by the IRS, you will likely still get one.

Of course, you should always report everything you earn, but they apparently need another year to make the change.

I'm talking solely about #Employee drivers who work for a company and are paid via W2. although #WorkerMisclassification is a huge problem in the trucking industry, I'm not familiar enough with all of the ins and outs to speak to it directly. and the experience of #IndependentContractors, #LeaseOperators, and #OwnerOperators is going to be different especially with regards to #WorkersProtections and #WorkersRights. #TruckingLife
