IMO: Although leftists may want more #Left, the more Joe moves left, the more he loses the center. Now, with a supposed center party showing up, #Democrats risk losing that center outright. Also, there is currently no center in the #Republican party: they've either shifted #FarRight with the #MangoAmericano, left the party to become #Independents, or resigned themselves to vote Dem just to avoid voting #Trump.

In a two-party political system (widespread access to ranked choice voting is the only way I can think of that we can end that nasty development in our democracy imo, but that will take time), I call #Independents too chickenshit to take a stand.

If they aren't scared to make the wrong choice between the two parties and don't vote at all then they're just so damned privileged to care what happens to other people imo.
