Text has been playtested and is more-or-less set. A website, blog, and newsletter are a couple weeks from getting published. And a Kickstarter should go up in the coming months.

#introduction

Hello everyone. I’m an early 50s (age, not decade) aficionado of #TTRPGs. This is my account for RPG only posts and follows. I have another account at @brianlavelle - you’re welcome to follow me there too!

I’ve been playing and running #TTRPGs on and off for about 35 years. Currently interested in #OSR #NSR #FKR #CairnRPG #Troika! #MorkBorg ##IntoTheOdd #OldSchoolEssentials #IndieTTRPGs and others of that ilk. Too many to mention, which is a wonderful thing in itself.

What I’m doing - scrolling through mastodon and reading stuff

What I should be doing - sorting out the pre-gen characters for a playtest adventure I’m running in just a couple of weeks.

It's my goal to get out at least six ttrpg releases this year. So far I have two with Street Wolves and the Archetypes.

The likely other ones are: Star Wars expansion, Wicked Forever King, Heart of Glass adventure, and Street Wolves Foundry module.

Hoping to get the Street Wolves print version Kickstarter out there too.

Easier to play and learn systems use less time to keep track of things, yet remain rewarding to play. I have two kids and a job and everyone in my group is a busy adult as well.

You don't need to pour over #ElectricBastionland or Into the Odd's book to run it, although it has wonderful advice about how to be a better GM inside it. Roll20 has sheets for it too. It's dead simple to learn.

Stop paying a premium for 5e and try #indieTTRPGs !

I used to think that the nature of TTRPGs somewhat sheltered them from the kind of short sighted, rapacious decisions made in the Magic the Gathering side of WotC. I was wrong it seems.

It was just a harder well to drill.

It wasnt THAT long ago that I would have dismissed the ways that #magicthegathering has recently been squeezed for money as tin foil.

I am not looking forward to the next few years of D&D and how Hasbro plans to monetize #dungeonsanddragons
