in bottle/wet: dark, coffee

on my skin: coffee, tobacco, spices. it's warm and intoxicating and complex

VERDICT: love it, want full size!

notes: A dark intoxication of hashish coffee and dawamesk from an original 1844 Club des Hashischins recipe that includes orange peel, cinnamon, clove, cardamon, nutmeg, and kola nuts blended with African Bronze Honey, blackberry pipe tobacco, leathered labdanum

in bottle/wet: sharp, ozonic, wild

on my skin: sharp and wild and homey, with that ozone scent still in the background. it reminds me of driving through a storm, trying to race a tornado to safety

VERDICT: that category of simultaneously wild and homey which I love so much; a sense of safety I never had as a kid

in bottle/wet: extremely woody, cut wood/sawdust, with a hint of machine smell

on my skin: same as above, but warmer and more resinous. also darker and more complex

VERDICT: I love it! it's got that lumberjack essence for when I want to run away and live in the woods

notes: Fresh Cut Wood, Wood Resin, Balsam, Cured Woods, Pine, Black Coffee, Motor Oil, Amber, Saw Dust.

VARDØGR. This weird little concoction is truly a masterpiece, if I do say so myself. Oh, it's gooood. And weird. Dark, damp, herbal—mossy forest floors, sunken alleys, underground spaces—with a dozen unlikely notes including pure essential German chamomile, bitter black coffee, hazy Indian musks, sharp herbs and a whip of leather. It’s not for everyone. It’s strange. But oh my, is it fantastic.

받자마자 맡았을 때는 라벤더의 허벌한 향기가 너무 강해서 약냄새에 빨래비누향이 섞여 화학약품같았는데 몇 주 레스팅을 하자 확실히 커피향이 나는 라벤더 라떼가 됐다. 뽀송한 스웨터의 갓 빨은 섬유유연제 향, 꿀, 라벤더, 커피가 전부 섞여 부드럽고 포근함.

#indiePerfume search has been pretty successful! I found someone who had two of the three perfumes I was specifically looking for, and they also had a few others on my general perfume wishlist, so I'm looking forward to receiving a package of perfume samples sometime this week! so that's exciting!

I've still got 2 hours left of work, during which I'll probably get 4 calls, based on my call volume so far, so I guess it's time for videogaming

despite how late I stayed up (nearly 4am), I woke up around 10:30am. my shift starts soon, and Baruch haShem for working from home, bc I'm still finishing my breakfast

no real goals for today. I work noon to six and my between-calls activity is going to be scouring r/IndieMakeupAndMore for #indiePerfume that I can't get from the original shops anymore. (Sundays are destash days)

so I showered and washed the silicon tape on my #topSurgery scars (I'm supposed to wash the tape TWICE A DAY, which is definitely not something I have the energy for)

and I put on #indiePerfume, which I haven't done in a while ... I'm wearing #ArcanaWildcraft's Rán, which smells like rain and ocean and wet stone--so fucking comforting and homey

and now I'm hanging out with my friend and their dog Harper 💜
