So I'm going to have a bash at introducing myself, now I've been here a couple of days.

It's actually quite hard because, I realise I've been *enclosed*, both by life (I'm #disabled, clinically extremely vulnerable, & have been home-shielding for over 2.5 years due to Covid) and long-term shadow-banned on the birdsite/elsewhere for saying things considered 'Not nice.' For 'not nice' read 'speaking the truth to power'.

To arrive here & be met with engagement & welcome feels new and unexpected. I had 27 notifications this morning, which was both wonderful & a little overwhelming!

For those new to me, I boost a LOT. It's a hangover from my trade union organising days when keeping members informed (I'm a #pensioner now). It's actually lovely to hear I'm doing something right in my environment - it's been so long in exile! #JoinAUnion

I'm hanging with the #Anarchists because, although it's taken nearly 70 years to know it, this is my heart belongs, even if I don't always know the theory.

It's been a real delight to meet other #Cdrama #Kdrama fans on here - especially #wuxia & #xianxia fans - please keep sharing your favs!

I'm especially interested in boosting #diversity. I've learned so much from #BlackTwitter & #IndigenousTwitter over my years on the birdsite - more than I ever learned elsewhere and I really don't want to lose this. Life isn't always comfortable, but the lessons discomfort teaches are worth their weight in rubies. As a white cis woman, I need to keep learning.

Expect #pagan #spiritual content too - my faith is deep-rooted and has a tendency to burst into flower if a seed lands in fertile ground.

I'm told to include a cat in this - so here is one of my feline quartet. This is Trubl👇 when she was younger, and she lives up to her name in every way!

This is a starter intro because, having been curled up tight like a bud, my petals are unfolding slowly.

The thing about Mastodon is that there are tons of posts raving how nice and calm the platform is "like in the old days", This is being said while hardly any Palestinian activists or anyone from #BlackTwitter or #IndigenousTwitter has migrated over there. Feels uncomfortable 2 me
