Some places have done this for years; the city I'm in considers cats and dogs (well, all animals except fish and birds, for some reason) to be identical as far as licensing, being "at large", requirement for leashes, etc.

Between the risk to cats by running free outdoors, and the risk cats present to other animals, peoples' property, etc., there's no reason cats should be allowed to roam freely.

#Jaws theme is normally appropriate for when phase III meal #cat harassment starts, but for music training I'm expecting some frantic running.

It further occurs that I may need to play it at volume on my phone around the neighbourhood in the event of #indoorcat escape, so a really punchy opening sound is needed.

A momentous #caturday !! We tried Kitty Boy (aka Atlas) on the leash outside for the first time since becoming an #IndoorCat in 2021. We had put the harness on him inside a few times in the house (with lots of treats) and he wasn’t very impressed, but when we went outside with it on, the urge to explore outweighed the annoyance! 30min of sun, fresh air and sniffing. This little jerk has been desperate to discover the secret of the front door the last few days after happily living the #IndoorCat Lifestyle for almost a year. His sad little mews would make you think he isn't 18#!

Oliver was abandoned by his previous parents when they moved. We had his chip checked and did all of the things but there never was a response from them. So now he's been with us for a year.

I know it's not #caturday but #caturdayeveryday and this #kitty won't be ignored.
