I'm on a delayed Vy train going north from Fredrikstad to Oslo Central, in order to catch the SJ snabbtåg connection to Stockholm this afternoon. With a transfer time of one hour I don't expect any problems.

Heavy snow forecast for Stockholm this evening, which should be interesting. Not the most obvious train connections for Istanbul, but this is what I try on this trip.

I will of course also be posting extensively in the FB group ‘Togferie’, objectively the friendliest little corner on the WWW, helpful and informative about train travels, at all times.

I was named ‘The Grand Old Lady’ of the group by the Togferie-moderator yesterday, of course also a reason to keep on posting there. All you need is a FB account, the group is open to all.

And we’re close to 50K members now. And I certainly also recommend membership.

To the perhaps interested.

I’m starting my geriatric (some would say veteran) #traintravels again in about 2 weeks time. This time I’ll post my observations and viewpoints only here on fribygda/mastodon. Tag: #inetoistanbul
