Hintergrund ist der, dass Aktien, Anleihen etc. regelmäßig verliehen werden können ohne den eigentlichen Inhaber fragen zu müssen, ein Leihgeschäft, ein short sale.

Wenn mann die dann allerdings nichtmehr an den Verleiher zurückgeben kann hat man einen settlement fail. Oder naked short. Also etwas verkauft dass es nicht gibt. Das erhöht die Aktien, Anleihen im Umlauf und ist Intransparenz pur!

@yogthos You are not wrong that some of the emissions moved to China along with manufacturing, but I think you are overstating their impact, at the same time downplaying environmental effects of #infiniteGrowth logic of #capitalism that drives #China forward.

1.2 Gt increase due to trade is for *all* developing nations. Total CO2 emissions in China in 2008 were around 7 Gt. Now it's 10 Gt.
